Chanel Sublime de Chanel Waterproof Mascara

What a surprise, I have another mascara review for you! I managed to get my hands on Chanel's new Sublime de Chanel Waterproof Mascara.

Per Chanel's website, it promises to give: "Infinite length and curl. An innovative, precious mascara for every-day wear, SUBLIME DE CHANEL expresses a timeless and ideal vision of femininity down to the tips of the lashes.Infinitely lengthening and intensely curling, SUBLIME DE CHANEL gives lashes an ultra-feminine look: reshaped, lengthened, curved and streamlined."

I will tell you that once I saw the wand I was pretty skeptical, not my favorite kind. The curl power of this mascara was pretty impressive. My lashes looked like I had used an eyelash curler, and held their curl all day. It gave a little bit of lengthening, but not much volume. It took several coats, and I still wanted it darker and thicker. I did love this layered with my waterproof Dior Show mascara, gave me dark, thick lashes, with length and curl. The Sublime mascara does wear well, the waterproof formula never flaked or smudged. Overall, it was OK for me, better when used with a volumizing mascara.

Stila Perfect and Correct Foundation - Swatches and Review

Just saw this new Stila Perfect and Correct Foundation online and HAD to try.  This is a new foundation that is similar to their One Step Correct primer released last year.  This is a lightweight foundation that offers build-able coverage but has unique ingredients to benefit your skin.

From Sephora: Combining an advanced emollient system to hydrate and moisturize the skin, a unique multimineral complex, and an array of skin-soothing ingredients, Perfect and Correct delivers a luxurious, high-performance, and high-definition foundation. Infused with Stila's exclusive Youth Revival Bio-Available Mineral Complex™, Perfect and Correct reads and reacts to the skin's needs and targets skin imperfections to correct them.

Sounds really good! Plus I love the swirled look of the foundation.  It comes in 8 shades from Fair to Deep.  I am reviewing Fair which Sephora describes it as 'for porcelain to fair complexions'.

Compared with my favorite foundation above

The texture is super soft, but not heavy at all! The color looked a little too yellow for my skin tone, but decided to try on my face.  I normally have combination skin, very oily in my t-zone but also have dry patches.  I moisturized my skin like normal and applied the foundation without any primer.  The foundation just blended right into my skin.  No dry spots and provided good coverage where I need it most.  The color did not seem as yellow once I applied to my face and I didn't feel like I was wearing any makeup at all.  I set the foundation with Bare Escentuals' Mineral Veil.  I am going on 7 hours and have no break-through oiliness!

Overall, even though the color was a little yellow for my skin tone - it still applied perfectly!  I love the lightweight texture and the feeling of no makeup on.  Also, there is no need for a primer because this has it built in. This is my new favorite foundation, which is a bold comment because I am picky and haven't found anything I really like since Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk.
